APP READINESS QUIZ RESULTS
THE APP ACCELERATOR APP READINESS QUIZ REPORT
Ask yourself the questions below, and based on the answers you gave in your The App Accelerator quiz, you’ll know how well-positioned you are to start building an app right now.
1) Do I Desire To Own and Operate A New Business?
- Please note that building an app is building a business. Although building an app does not require you to choose between your current job and your passion project, you will be challenged over the duration of the program to think strategically about how you are developing, monetizing and positioning your app for the purposes of gaining revenue or meeting your end goals and objectives.
- Our program is highly geared towards people who want to build and manage their app business themselves and contract/subcontract/outsource assorted tasks associated with building the actual product. We do however welcome participants who are interested in building their product themselves.
If you have never launched a business before The App Accelerator provides strategic insights to assist our participants with information and education to plan, produce and create a monetization strategy for their app.
2) Am I Willing And Able To Commit A Minimum of 5-10 Hours Part-Time Per Week for the Next 3-6 Months To Launching My App Business?
- Apps can be launched as additional part-time income streams or a side hustle, a passion project, a tool to assist your existing business, or even as a pathway to transitioning out of your full time job. Regardless of what your intentions are for your app, building one requires that you dedicate a considerable amount of time to its planning and its execution.
- App Accelerator participants should anticipate dedicating anywhere between 5 to 10 hours a week to developing their product – even if they contract the product to a developer or agency team for the coding portions.
- It’s important to note that these hours can mostly be on evenings and weekends however relegating the progression of your project to only these hours may slow it down considerably. You are building a business and there may be scenarios where you may need to take a call or respond to an email during traditional business hours to maintain the momentum of the project.
- Outside of working with prospective vendors, contractors and your support team there will be optional but STRONGLY encouraged weekly assignments surrounding the development of your app. These take-home projects strictly cover topics including but not limited to design, project planning, research and development and more
At no point do we advise or is it the least bit required that you quit your job as a pre-emptive move to launching an app. We do want you to understand however that building an app can be a time intensive commitment.
3) Are you willing to adapt your app idea and how it is executed to achieve your desired business outcome?
- When building an app it is very likely that you will come up against unexpected challenges and unforeseen circumstances that may require you to make changes in the product being developed or in how it is developed, even relatively late in the development process.
- Based on these demands, it is possible that participants may have to alter their concept, the way it is delivered or all of the features they intended to have included. These changes should be anticipated by any business owner but in particular those who are building apps as it is an ever-evolving process that is affected by changes not only in the innovation landscape but the demands of the app’s users.
The App Accelerator team has no intentions of infringing or impeding on your original idea. We are however here to help you execute it without the constraints, limitations and boundaries you set for us, with that, that may often require change or manipulation. It is our goal to maintain the integrity of your ideas while building within the frames of what we have to work with.

Once you decide on the level of spend you feel most comfortable with know that that amount can be paid in increments over a stretch of months – these costs are rarely ever paid in a lump sum.
How is The App Accelerator Different Than Other App Courses
There are an increasing number of app development programs and services that have come on the market. You may have even “tried” a few of them.
Generally these programs sell students on the promise of fast results with minimal time or effort. They tend to promise massive success to anyone and everyone and include guarantees of getting rich quick by doing it yourself. And while we’re sure they have many student success stories, we simply take a broader outlook.
You may have heard of no code and low code app builders – these are do-it-yourself app builder solutions that can be a great path to building an app, however they aren’t the only development options available. Within The App Accelerator we strive to introduce our participants to a variety of different methods for bringing their idea to life and encourage them to select the choice that is most in line with their budget and lifestyle as an entrepreneur.
Will I Come Out of This Program With a Completed App?
You can. Depending on the nature of the app you’re trying to build and your availability and commitment to taking the project on, you could walk away with a completed application. Many people however opt to complete the course first and then start the development process after they have a full and complete understanding of the scope of work.
What Is the Required Time Commitment for the Program? Do I Have to Be Physically Present For Each Call or Lesson?
The App Accelerator is a mix of online and live programming over the course of 13 weeks. Most sessions are pre-recorded to watch at your convenience however there are the occasional live sessions as well, of which replays are often provided. While it is in no way required that you be available for every session, you get out of the program what you put in, so we strongly encourage you to complete all tutorials and attend as many sessions as you can.
